Terms of use

These terms apply to anyone using pegafala.com.br. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use it.

The service

For free and with no sign-up, the site offers:

• transcription of audio and video you upload, with the text, SRT subtitles, VTT and TXT;
• transcription of public Instagram and TikTok videos, by link.

The file you upload is transcribed on our server and deleted right after. The text goes only to your device. We don’t host, publish or keep your audio or the transcript.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13. Anyone under 18 should use it with a parent’s or guardian’s knowledge.

You’re responsible for the audio

Upload only audio and video that are yours or that you have the right to use. A voice message someone sent you is a private conversation: keep the text for yourself and don’t publish other people’s words without permission. If you record someone, tell them. What you do with the text is your responsibility, including respecting privacy, image and voice rights and copyright. Recording a class to study is usually fine; publishing it, or its transcript, needs the teacher’s permission. Check your school’s policy.

Prohibited uses

You may not:

• upload audio obtained illegally, such as a secret recording of a conversation you weren’t part of;
• use the site to expose, harass or defame anyone;
• use bots, scripts or automated integrations without written permission;
• attack, overload or probe the site for vulnerabilities without permission;
• copy the site, embed the tool in another site or resell the service.

We may block access without notice to anyone who breaks these rules.

Limits

The free plan transcribes up to 5 minutes per file (longer files get the first minute as a preview), files up to 25 MB and up to 4 transcripts every 15 minutes per connection. The limits in force are shown on the pages and may change.

The service is provided as is

We do our best, but we don’t guarantee that:

• transcripts will be error-free. Noise, music, overlapping voices and unusual names get in the way. Check the text before using it;
• the text will work as evidence. An automatic transcript isn’t a certified transcript for court;
• the site will run without interruption, or that your turn in line will come quickly at peak times.

Always keep the original file. We may change, pause or discontinue tools at any time. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

No affiliation

PegaFala is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a registered trademark of WhatsApp LLC. Instagram and TikTok are trademarks of their owners.

Ads

The site is supported by Google AdSense ads, and we don’t pick each ad. No button in the tool is an ad. We never ask you to install extensions or turn on notifications. The only “install” is your browser’s own, for the Android Share shortcut. If an ad asks for anything else, let us know.

Content removal

Anyone with rights to a video transcribed by link, or to any content on the site’s pages, can ask for removal on the removal page or at [email protected]. We reply within 2 business days.

Privacy

How we handle data is explained in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. Requests about your personal data: [email protected].

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The update date shows the version in force. Using the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms follow Brazilian law. If you’re a consumer, you can bring any dispute in the courts where you live.
