Content removal and copyright

This page is for anyone with rights to some content who wants it removed or blocked.

Uploaded audio isn’t kept

The audio and video people upload to transcribe are deleted as soon as the transcript is ready, and the text goes only to the device of whoever uploaded it. So:

  • we have no copy of any uploaded audio or its transcript, and no way to look one up;
  • there’s no public page with users’ audio or text to take down;
  • we can’t delete text someone copied or downloaded to their own device.

If a conversation of yours is circulating without permission, the removal request should go to the site, social network or service where it was published.

Video link to text transcribes public Instagram and TikTok videos. The text of a public video may stay in a cache for up to 7 days, identified only by the video’s code. Anyone with rights to a video, or a profile, can ask for it to be blocked here: from then on, the site refuses to transcribe that video or that profile’s videos, including any cached text. US-style DMCA notices follow the same procedure.

What else we can remove

Content on our own pages: text, images and examples published on pegafala.com.br. If anything there uses your material without permission, or talks about you in a way you don’t want, ask us to remove it.

Who can ask

  • The author or rights holder.
  • A person who appears or is mentioned in the content, to protect their image and voice.
  • A representative, such as a lawyer, agency or company managing the rights, with proof.

How to ask

Email [email protected] with the subject “Removal” and:

  1. Your full name and a reply email.
  2. Your relationship to the content: author, person mentioned or representative. Representatives send a power of attorney or written authorization.
  3. The video or profile link (for link transcription), or the address of the site page and the passage in question.
  4. The reason: copyright, image rights, trademark or other.
  5. This statement: “I declare, in good faith, that the information in this request is true and that I am the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.”

If anything is missing, we’ll tell you what.

Timing

We reply within 2 business days. Once approved, the video or profile is blocked, or the content comes off the page.

False requests and user data

  • Requests with false information are refused. Impersonating a rights holder may have legal consequences.
  • We don’t disclose data about people who use the site without a court order. And since audio isn’t kept, there’s no audio or text from anyone to hand over. Reports of child sexual abuse material go to the authorities and, in the US, to the NCMEC.
