What to send when something goes wrong

  1. The page you used, like WhatsApp audio or SRT subtitles.
  2. What happened and the exact message on screen.
  3. The file format (OPUS, M4A, MP3, MP4) and roughly how long it is.
  4. Device and browser. Example: “iPhone 13, Safari” or “Pixel 7, Chrome”.
  5. A screenshot, if you can.

Don’t send a recording of a conversation. We don’t need it to understand the problem, and other people’s voices are personal data. If the error happens with your own audio, with nothing private in it, you can attach it.

Never send passwords, verification codes or card details. We never ask for them.

Before you write: common errors

“That doesn’t look like audio.” The file isn’t audio or video, or it’s corrupted. Download it again from where it came from.

“This file is 48 MB.” The maximum is 25 MB. Send it as M4A or MP3, or just the part you need: see how to trim and shrink an audio file.

“This audio is 12:40 long.” The free plan transcribes up to 5 minutes per file; longer files get the first minute.

“You’ve used the transcripts for these minutes.” Your quota frees up at the end of the window, and the screen shows the time.

“We couldn’t find any speech in this audio.” The audio has only music, silence or noise. It didn’t count.

“The upload didn’t finish.” Your connection dropped or the screen was closed during the upload. Tap Try again, ideally on Wi-Fi.

“Lots of people transcribing right now.” The server’s line is full. Try again in 1 or 2 minutes.

On Android, the site isn’t in the Share menu. It must be installed from Chrome. See the Android guide.
